Meet the Huntington Beach Team Behind Walt’s Insulation
Walt’s Insulation is the one down the road in Huntington Beach, and that means the people who show up at your door are your neighbors, not a rotating cast from a call center. We’ve been at this since 2000, and the crew that works the attics and crawl spaces here in Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, and Westminster is the same crew you’ll see at the grocery store. They’re background-checked, uniformed, and they answer to one person: Walt Brenner, the owner. No franchise layer. No middleman. Just people who know Orange County homes from the inside out, literally.
Our People
Mike R. – Lead Technician
Mike has been with Walt’s Insulation for 17 years, which means he’s been in more Huntington Beach attics since 2008 than most people have been in their own garages. He’s our lead technician and the guy who trains everyone else on proper Owens Corning and Rockwool installation. Mike holds a BPI Building Analyst certification and has a particular knack for attic air sealing. He grew up in Long Beach and still complains about the 405, but he’ll be the first to tell you the beach breeze here makes every attic job worth it. When he’s not pulling old fiberglass out of a 1960s ranch house, he’s restoring a 1972 Chevelle that he’ll never actually finish, and he’s fine with it.
Danielle S. – Senior Installer
Danielle has spent 11 years in the insulation trade, nine of them with us. She’s our spray foam and blown-in insulation specialist, certified by Icynene and Demilec, and she’s the person we send when a Huntington Beach homeowner wants the tricky stuff done right. Crawl space encapsulation is her favorite job, which tells you something about her patience. Danielle lives in Westminster with her two kids and a very judgmental cat. She’s known for leaving job sites cleaner than she found them and for remembering every dog’s name at every house she’s ever worked at. If you meet her, ask about the time she found a surfboard in an attic from 1978.
Tommy C. – Service Coordinator
Tommy is the voice on the phone at 2 a.m. when your attic insulation has failed and you can’t sleep because the upstairs bedroom is 85 degrees in October. He’s been with Walt’s Insulation for six years and runs our scheduling, the free second opinion appointments, and the no-trip-charge calls inside Orange County. Tommy grew up in Huntington Beach, went to Edison High, and can tell you which neighborhoods have salt air corrosion issues before you finish giving him your address. He’s the reason you’ll never reach a voicemail when you call (657) 222-2148. When he’s not coordinating jobs, he’s surfing at the pier or pretending he’s going to start meal prepping.
Sean B. – Apprentice Installer
Sean is the newest member of the crew, two years in, and he’s already earned his Owens Corning attic insulation certification. He came to us from a construction background and now works alongside Mike on removal and replacement jobs, learning the craft the slow, thorough way. Sean is 26, lives in Costa Mesa, and is the guy crawling into the tightest corners of your crawl space because he’s the only one who fits without complaining. He’s got a detail-obsessed streak that drives Danielle crazy in the best way. Ask him about radiant barrier installation and he’ll talk for twenty minutes, which we consider a good sign.

Every person on this page, from Mike’s 17 years down to Sean’s two, works under the same rule: the Done Right Promise. If it’s not done right, we make it right. That’s not marketing language. The crew here in Huntington Beach installs Knauf, Johns Manville, CertainTeed, and GreenFiber products the way the manufacturers specify, and they back the work for life.
